Investors Forum for the Iloilo CBD Revitalization Project

On July 3 to 5, 2012 an Investors Forum was held in Iloilo City, Philippines for the Downtown Central Business District (CBD) Revitalization Pilot Project. The Investors Forum was an opportunity to present the Downtown CBD Revitalization Project and encourage financiers and investors to participate in a bidding process. City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog presided over the forum, which was attended by representatives of major national property groups and potential local partners.

The project involves the improvement of public infrastructure, public utility, private establishments and the conservation of heritage buildings in the Iloilo Downtown CBD. Infrastructure developments in these areas are expected to improve the city’s economy as well as bolster the tourism industry.

The procedures and guidelines for the bid process was provided by the Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA) for the Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC).
