What have we been up to?
From Bangkok to Bangalore,
Colombo to Cagayan de Oro,
All the news from around CDIA
As 2017 is about to end, we look back to what CDIA has accomplished over the last 10 years with Asian and Pacific cities, financial partners, regional and national partner organizations and other stakeholders. Truly, it is through everyone’s commitment that we are making progress in ensuring an equitable and sustainable development for all.
To date, CDIA was able to provide technical assistance to 138 cities across 18 countries in Asia and the Pacific. We have done 52 investment prioritization exercises in 49 cities; and prepared 137 infrastructure projects, of which 60% have been linked to financing estimated at USD 6.8 billion. To further strengthen the capacities of cities and other partners to prepare bankable infrastructure investment projects, we have conducted a total of 37 training courses for 772 participants, which were implemented at city, country, and regional levels in Asia. The topics covered Linking to Finance, Cities and Climate Change, Effective Urban Infrastructure Programming, City Infrastructure Investment Prioritization and Programming, and Introduction to Pre-feasibility Studies, among others.
