Development Worker for PPP Center of the Philippines
GIZ has recently assigned a development worker to CDIA’s national partner organization, the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center of the Philippines to strengthen its capacity to aid Philippine cities successfully implement infrastructure projects through PPP mechanisms.
His assignment in the Philippines is part of the agreement between CDIA and the PPP Center to help strengthen its role as service and knowledge provider leading to an increased number of successful infrastructure projects.
Prior to his current post, Mr. Ott had worked closely with partner organizations, being a Development Advisor in Pontianak, Indonesia for the Sustainable Regional Economic Growth and Investment Programme (SREGIP) between GIZ and the National Development Planning Agency of Indonesia (BAPPENAS) – Directorate for Urban and Rural Development. Towards promoting local and regional economic development, he advised public authorities at district and provincial levels in coordinating and implementing projects together with various stakeholders from the private sector along the value chains of agricultural commodities.
Mr. Ott had likewise worked with private enterprises in areas such as organizational development, business processes and innovation, among others. He is an Economic Geographer by profession with a background in regional development focusing on urban and rural planning as well as business development.
