CITYNET and CDIA sign MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CITYNET and CDIA was signed at the Executive Committee meeting of CITYNET in Bangkok, Thailand.

CITYNET and CDIA share a common agenda to support urban governments in the Asia-Pacific region to promote more sustainable and equitable urban development that will result in improved environmental and living conditions in Asian Cities.

Both parties have agreed to co-operate in activities such as Capacity Development, Demand-Driven Mechanism and Institutional Exchanges.

Mary Jane C. Ortega, Secretary General, CITYNET and Emiel Wegelin, Programme Coordinator, Cities Development Initiative for Asia signed the MOU on 23 June 2011.
