The city of Chiniot is located in the province of Punjab approximately 160 km. to the north west of the provincial capital Lahore.
The city comprises an agglomeration of many small towns and villages and was planned mostly along the city canal bank. Industry is concentrated on the main outlet towards Faisalabad, the largest city in the province.
