A Message From The CDIA Program Coordinator
December 11, 2015
Dear CDIA Friends,
To wrap up 2015, I would like to thank you once again for your support and collaboration with CDIA over the past 12 months of exciting projects, partnerships, and progress.
With a record number of 20 new city engagements, our current counter stands on 92 approved city applications, Pre-Feasibility Studies completed for 86 projects in 51 medium-sized Asian cities, and 49 projects linked to 5.8 billion USD worth of urban infrastructure investments.
Building on the success of 8 years of CDIA, you will notice some changes in the CDIA organization as we enter 2016.
First of all, as per 1 January 2016, CDIA will be moving into the facilities of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). While the CDIA office will remain independent, the move reflects the close links we have with ADB and will further strengthen our track record of linking Asian cities to ADB financing.
Also as per 1 January I will leave my position as GIZ-CDIA Program Manager. Although I will be leaving GIZ, I will not be leaving CDIA as in my new capacity of ADB Senior Urban Development Professional I will become the CDIA-ADB Program Manager (email@example.com).
Taking over from me on the on the GIZ side of the program is Mrs. Claudia Hermes (Claudia.firstname.lastname@example.org) who will join us in Manila early January. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Hermes and I trust that you will give her the same kind of support and cooperation as you have provided me.
We are excited about the opportunities ahead and on behalf of the CDIA team, I wish you and loved ones a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year ahead!
Joris van Etten
