HABITAT III Releases Zero Draft Of The New Urban Agenda

On 6 May, UN-Habitat released the zero draft of the New Urban Agenda, in view of the Habitat III – United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development Conference, which will be held in Quito, Ecuador in October. The New Urban Agenda will guide the efforts of nation states, city and regional leaders, international development funders, United Nations programs and civil society for the next 20 years. The final version will be the outcome document agreed upon at the Conference. Click here to view.
Since August 2015, a group of 200 experts provided recommendations for the New Urban Agenda. An extensive series of official and semi-official events, including regional and thematic meetings, brought together various actors to contribute to the preparation of the document.
