December 21, 2020
Dear Friends and Partners,
What a challenging year 2020 has been for all of us indeed! Before we enter 2021, we would like to take the opportunity to highlight our team’s accomplishments this year and share our appreciation to all our partners who have worked with us despite the pandemic restrictions in place.
The CDIA team has worked with 19 cities on 12 project preparation studies this year. We were able to consult with our partner cities remotely and lay the groundwork for newly approved projects in Dong Ha (Vietnam), Yerevan (Armenia) and Dushanbe (Tajikistan).
The team also took advantage of the time to build its capacity by undertaking extensive training on climate change so we can better support our partners in enhancing their cities’ resilience to climate change. We’ve also heightened our engagement with development partners as we conducted and participated in a series of knowledge sharing activities.
We are uncertain what the future holds. Yet, there are glimpses of hope and certainly a lot to be grateful about. The new road ahead of us is full of promise.
We take this opportunity to renew our commitment to our partners and promise to work together with them to build back better in the years to come.
We especially like to thank our funding partners for their trust and commitment. We truly cannot do the work that we do without your support.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!
