ADB-CDIA is pleased to announce the release of its 2024 Progress Report, underscoring a year of transformation and amplified impact driven by purposeful collaborations in project preparation, capacity building, and outreach initiatives.

Since its establishment in 2007, CDIA has commissioned 119 project preparation studies (PPSs) in 128 cities across 22 ADB developing member countries. Of these, 91 PPSs have been linked to downstream financing estimated at $14.15 billion.

From pioneering low-carbon mobility solutions in Armenia and Cambodia to implementing a climate-resilient water supply system in Bangladesh and promoting ecological renewal in Nepal, CDIA’s 2024 initiatives are driving urban solutions that contribute directly to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities by 2030.

In addition, CDIA’s collaborative efforts, exemplified by its co-organization of training and networking events at the 12th World Urban Forum in Egypt, among other venues, facilitated crucial dialogues between governments, financiers, and development partners on urban challenges and solutions.

Even after nearly two decades, CDIA remains true to its mission of bridging the gap between planning and investment, empowering cities to thrive sustainably, leaving no one behind.
