Ivan Fuentetaja

ADB Urban Development Specialist

Ivan Fuentetaja is an Urban Development Specialist within the Strategy and Partnerships Team, Water and Urban Development Office Sector Groups.

He has joined ADB this year to provide support for the management of ADB’s urban sector operations, especially on implementing Strategy 2030 Operational Priority 4 on Making Cities More Livable; administration of the trust funds under the Urban Financing Partnership Facility (UFPF) umbrella; administration of technical assistance to support operations; knowledge management; and capacity development. 

He also provides technical advisory in the project management and outreach of CDIA. His engagement involves the development of inclusive, climate-resilient, and sustainable infrastructure projects to developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific. 

Prior to joining ADB, Ivan served as an International Trade & Investment Advisor in the Spanish Embassy to the Philippines. Ivan holds a degree in commerce and a master’s degree in international trade from the University of Valladolid (Spain), as well as an MBA in International Business Management from ICEX-CECO business school.
