Lara Arjan
Urban Development Specialist / CDIA Project Officer
A multilingual urban planner with over 20 years of experience in program management and monitoring and evaluation. Lara holds two master’s degrees, one in Environmental Sciences and one in Urban and Regional Planning and Development. Lara has worked with the US Department of State, Canadian DFAT (now Global Affairs Canada) and UNDP, among others.
Prior to joining ADB, Lara worked as a Senior Urban Planner for the City of Edmonton, Canada. She had worked extensively in the Middle East and North Africa regions across a range of projects including urban planning, environment, agriculture, peace building, private public partnerships, health, alternative media, youth civic engagement, social entrepreneurship and governance. Lara is also an accomplished facilitator and trainer.
She is concurrently working for the Asian Development Bank as Urban Development Specialist.
